I just got this drive today. It had no trouble connecting right up with my new Acer Aspire One and playing a music CD and a DVD. I haven't tried burning anything yet. The drive is nice and slim and ultra portable--no additional power cables needed beyond the two USB cords, but seems a bit fragile. The drive access door definitely needs careful handling!

I did not receive any software or CDs with the drive--just the unit and the two USB cables and the card with the (laughable) instructions. It wouldn't seem any additional software is needed though, as I had no trouble.

All in all, this would seem to be a good value for the price. I'm happy with it. :)

I purchased this based on the positive feedback at Amazon.com, but it worked irratically with my laptop which is only one week old and running Vista. The device wasn't plug-and-play. Instead I needed to have the driver disk in the drive when plugging it in and then Vista had to find the drive and install it. About 50% of the time the computer recognized the drive and about 50% it didn't, which required reboots until it recognized it. Unfortunately the product documentation is almost non-existant (a 3x4 one-sided index card) and there's no reference to a website for help. The disk door didn't close smoothly and needed a bit of a push which suggested to me poor workmanship or materials.

I bought this for use with my Acer Aspire One Netbook (XP). Arrived promply, worked out of the box, plug and play. No need to load included driver. It comes with very basic instructions, some burner software, and two USB connections, one for the drive, one for aux power. I've used it to load some software and run a couple movies. It stopped mid-load once with only the primary USB connection, but with the second plugged in for power, no problem. It's fast, and seems to work fine. (I don't know what happened to the other reviewer who said it wouldn't work with his Aspire One) I've not used it to burn any DVDs as yet. Very light, so good for travel, but probably fragile. Good value, in my opinion.

The brushes are OK but the real reason to buy this is the water-less cleaning method to clean the LCD screen. You can turn your keyboard upside and give it a good shake to get the dust out of the keyboard. Then use a dedicated paint-brush or compressed air if you only need to get rid of keyboard dust.

LensPen attracted me because I use their products to clean my lens and UV/polarizing filters for my Pentax digital SLR. Cleaning fragile plastic LCD screens without scratching them is challenging. Usually the screens are small enough we are all guilty of accidentally putting a finger-print on them at some time or another. Then we have to fret whether to use liquid cleaners or a lint-free micro-fiber cloth or whatever we can find.

So far I used this to clean the screen of a 12 inch laptop that really needed it. Then after success at removing finger-prints and dust, I turned it on my 24 inch desktop LCD monitor that again really needed it. Again it worked great. Just follow directions. The dry carbon system is unique and effective. A dedicated $15 device to clean devices worth > $1000 seems cost-effective to me now that I know it works and is safe. But I wouldn't buy it only for the brushes - a good paint-brush is far cheaper. Visit the LensPen website to learn more.

This little gadget really does clean the dust and any debris that happen to find its way on your laptop. I should get one for my sister because she hsa 3 daughters who love to eat snacks while on the computer.

The cleaner has two set of brushes that perform specific tasks. The thinner brush cleans between the keys and the surface of the laptop. I use thicker soft brush to clean off dust from the screen.

I was excited when I received my new MacBook Pro. I was far less thrilled when I began searching for a light foam sleeve. I tried several other brands but none fit my new laptop. This was one of the first to the market for the unibody style. It's a good price too. I'm not a fan of the color but it was cheaper than the other color options. The fit is perfect. I highly recommend this case if you are looking for a sleeve.

Ive been looking for a laptop sleeve case for my brand new MBP. And I refused to use my MBP without getting a sleeve case first. I've been scouring around Amazon and while I've seen good candidates, this is the best I've seen. The memory foam is a huge plus for me. And since I've gotten it, I've dropped my MBP (I almost cried) from a height of maybe 24 inches, not bad, but the case absorbed the shock like a pro. It fits the newest MBP very snugly, not too tight at all. It fits any bag I put it in which is also a plus since I lug around my laptop with me everywhere. Its not so bad either that the case looks good. Construction quality is very good too, it looks very durable. I got it in Moka and I love it. The only thing I would wish is that it had a thin pocket so I can put like a passport or stuff for school. Other than that, its perfect. Well worth the money I spent =]

This is an inexpensive innovative mounting solution. Comes with the cradle too! The RAM Rail Mount consists of a locking tooth system with a standard RAM diamond plate end. The mount will fit a rail diameter from 1.0" to 1.1". To mount to a circular rail, simple press the composite U clamp around the rail and then connect and tighten the small nut and bolt to close the U clamp. Next connect the diamond plate to the mounted clamp at the required angle and screw in the other bolt through the diamond plate. Now you are ready to connect any of the RAM Composite HOL Cradles or any other cradle with two holes positioned 1.912" center to center. Placing a rubber lining (not included) between the tube and the mount for a tube with a diameter less than 1" will help the base grab the rail. NOTES: These cannot be used on motorcycles.

This is my 3rd GPS bike mount. I am a bike-to-work commuter averaging 20+ miles per day. I use the Magellan GPS to monitor my speed and distance covered. The GPS mount fits great and works well but after many months of very heavy use the plastic clamp has broken twice. I still replace it with the same mount as the price is good and it fits the GPS well for biking.

I ordered this for my Magellan eXplorist 210 and fit perfect, how ever when I snapped the mount over my handlebars; my handlebar was too small for it. I was able to solve this by putting a piece of rubber behind it. Everything works fine as it should and is very secure.

I'm not if it was just a fluke for me, but just be aware, over all I'm very satisfied with this.

I didn't realize it from the description, but this is a full-on RAM Mount. It's much better quality than the OEM handlebar mount. My original Magellan model broke off during a crash. This new model has withstood two crashes to date with no signs of wear.

Bought this sleeve for my ASUS 1201N netbook, and it fits well. It's a protective sleeve - not a case; so it works for minimizing scratches and scuffs but won't help if you sit on or drop the laptop.

I'm a teacher, so I have a "school bag" I use everyday. Until recently, it was a Timbuk2 bag (which I loved!) with a built in laptop sleeve. When I had to give up that bag unexpectedly, and started using a bag without a laptop sleeve, I decided I should get something to protect my MacBook (with a 13 inch [diagonal] screen). I decided on this one, and I'm thrilled with the choice. It's a great fit -- Goldilocks-like, really: neither too snug nor too loose. It is very good protection for my computer, and the wavy side really does seem to offer a little extra cushioning. The material is easy to grip and not at all slippery -- easy to take in and out of a bag with no inside dividers. I also really love the color scheme -- much more, to be honest, than I even thought I would when I saw it online. I'm really pleased with this purchase, and would recommend it to anyone with a 13 inch MacBook or similarly sized computer.

When it worked it was surprisingly good, performance-wise, then one day - all of the indicator lights were lit, but no button or control could shut it off. Would not show up when plugged into USB port and would not record. Oh, well - I guess its a disposable DVD recorder.
